Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting various accounting functions, including month-end close, account reconciliation, job costing, and audit support.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
Assist with integration of new acquisitions
Prepare monthly data for sales tax returns
Manage customer invoicing and support credit/collections efforts
Calculate monthly commissions
Support job costing and project tracking
Assist in annual budget preparation and forecasting
Respond to internal and external audit requests
Prepare variance analysis and financial reporting
Maintain vendor records and assist with special projects as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or Master's degree a plus but not required)
A few years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a general ledger or corporate accounting environment
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or Infor M3 is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to commute to the office regularly (within ~40 minutes preferred)
