Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting various accounting functions, including month-end close, account reconciliation, job costing, and audit support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes

  • Assist with integration of new acquisitions

  • Prepare monthly data for sales tax returns

  • Manage customer invoicing and support credit/collections efforts

  • Calculate monthly commissions

  • Support job costing and project tracking

  • Assist in annual budget preparation and forecasting

  • Respond to internal and external audit requests

  • Prepare variance analysis and financial reporting

  • Maintain vendor records and assist with special projects as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or Master's degree a plus but not required)

  • A few years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a general ledger or corporate accounting environment

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or Infor M3 is a plus

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to commute to the office regularly (within ~40 minutes preferred)
